July 5, 2019 message: Last week we were informed that the DeKalb County Planning Commission will be discussing the proposed Henney development at their next meeting. This is the development that will go in behind and next to DLE. Using Diamond Lake Boulevard as a secondary entrance for this development is going to be discussed. We are totally against this. We are encouraging everyone to attend the Planning Commission meeting scheduled for August 22 at 7 PM in the Dekalb County Courthouse. There is a chance this topic will be postponed until the August meeting, but we are awaiting confirmation of that possibility. Cheryl Heinen and Mary Young will be going door to door and asking all property owners to sign a petition to show our opposition to this proposal. If you have questions please contact one of your board members.
As an alternative, the DLEHOA board is proposing that removable and lockable street bollards be installed on the south end of Diamond Lake Boulevard near the lift station. These bollards could be removed by the fire department in an emergency or for an alternate route during future street maintenance. Please see this website for examples we are proposing.
Spring 2019 message: We use Pond Champs to maintain the health of the ponds. They place flags at the entrance to let us know when they have been treated. It's possible you should stay out of the ponds for 24+ hours for safety when you first see the flag.

2018 Message: Thanks to all the residents of DLE and their patience as the board gets started.
The board has many ideas that we're happy to discuss with residents about making the neighborhood an even better place. Here's a short list of the things that are on the radar:
Also, as a friendly reminder please keep your pond areas clean. Also, you are responsible for the safety of any pond user from your lot.
